Go to the "Download" section. Click on the download link and save the RAR file to a convenient location on your computer.
Choosing the right location for storage is important because in step two you will need to unzip the file, which will create a folder. This folder is the extension that you will later need to install in your Google Chrome browser. Once installed, this folder should not be moved from its original location. Therefore, it is crucial to carefully select where to initially save the folder.
Go to the location where you saved the file. Right-click on it and select "Extract Here". Use a decompression program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the contents. A folder with the same name as the RAR file will be created.
Open a new tab in your Google Chrome browser. In the address bar, type "chrome://extensions" and press Enter. This will take you to the Chrome extensions management page.
In the top right corner of the extensions page, make sure the "Developer mode" switch is turned on.
Click on the "Load unpacked" button that appears after enabling developer mode. A file explorer window will open. Navigate to the folder you extracted in step 2 and select it. Click "Select folder" to load the extension in Chrome.
Once you load the extension, it will load the AnkiMine welcome page. I recommend that you read the instructions to learn how to use the extension properly.
After loading the extension, it should appear in the list of extensions on the Chrome extensions management page. Make sure the switch next to the extension name is turned on to enable it. The extension should now be installed and ready to use in your browser.
Congratulations! You have installed the AnkiMine extension in your Google Chrome browser. Now you can enjoy all the features it offers.
You can delete the RAR file from your downloads; it is not necessary to keep it. However, the extension folder must always remain in the established location.
